In early 2011 me and my wife, Nikki Talley, decided it was time to take her music on the road. We realized that you can only play so much in one region before you oversaturate the area. Until recently, because I was tied to a job, any traveling that she did had to be done alone. So after months of thinking about it, we decided to take the plunge. We started a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for a down payment on a van. Once we raised the money, we bought our “mobile home” and named her Blue Bell. We planned to travel wherever we could get gigs and live out of the van wherever we needed to.

In early December 2011 I sealed the deal and quit my job at the National Climate Data Center where I worked as a meteorologist for 3 years. On January 4, 2012 we set sail. The story beings here
